You may not be able to locate it on a map, but this airport has taken out the title of the busiest on Earth — for the 21st time in a row.

A US airport has topped the list of the busiest airports in the world once again, beating major hubs like Dubai and Beijing and even more recognisable American ports like LAX and New York’s JFK., Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport in Georgia was the world’s busiest airport in 2018, with close to 107 million passengers passing through, according to new preliminary travel data by Airports Council International.

It is the world's busiest airport by passenger traffic.The reason for the airport’s popularity is because of its position within the US. It’s within a two-hour flight of 80 per cent per cent of the United States population of more than 300 million people.

But while the Atlanta airport had the most passengers, it didn’t have the most planes coming in and out of the terminals.
