As fire swept through the village of Rappville, John Duncan and his partner Cass hid in their back shed thinking they would be safest there. In no time, their whole house was destroyed. Then the blaze came for the shed.It is too late to leave for people in Rappville, Wyan, Wineshanty, The Island, Myrtle Creek, West Bungawalbin, or Mount Belmore State Forest. Take shelter as the fire approaches.
And if it was not for the quick thinking of Mr Duncan's daughter Carol, he and his partner would have never made it out of that shed.when several ferocious fires flared up in northern parts of NSW. The emergency continues to threaten residents in Busbys Flat and Drake, with 1,000 firefighters tackling the blazes overnight. For many, fleeing was never a possibility, with the Rural Fire Service (RFS) advising residents they could do only one thing — take shelter.
From Newcastle, Ms Duncan was keeping up to date through the RFS website and could see things were going from bad to worse. She sent a tweet to the RFS explaining that her father was trapped in his shed and would probably not survive.
Well done the Admin of the NSWRFS Twitter account

Great example of why Twitter needs to be chronological. Not ‘Top Tweets’.
