However, unlike the infrastructure supporting Tesla, these are not yet located within distances suited to the Hyundai Kona's range, thereby requiring longer stops at more readily available slower-charging stations.
This would mean the driver of a Kona would either have to utilise one of the many slower-charging public stations along the way -- for instance, at Goulburn or Mickleham -- or make a detour to access a regional fast-charging station. It would take around 3 hours and 24 minutes to cover the 283 kilometres to Canberra where charging would take between 30 and 50 minutes.
This includes taking"regular breaks — at least every two hours", having"a 15-minute power nap" when feeling drowsy, and limiting daily driving time to no more than"eight to 10 hours a day".how taking regular breaks from driving"help reduce the effects of fatigue."
The report also missed the fact that there's more types of EV's than just Battery EV's (eg. Fuel Cell EV's-FCEV). Personally, I'm against Battery EV's as (current) battery tech will leave us with an environ'l mess in the longer term. FCEV's refuel quickly, and range as petrol.
Why would I want to?
It would suck.
It’s still new technology. The speed and efficiency of the Tesla superchargers are already improving from the original ones just a few years ago.
And what if there’s a queue for the charging station You wait hours for a spot and then 2-6 hours for a charge 😂😂🤣
A more pertinent fact check would be; which vehicle results in more carbon emissions, factoring in mining of raw materials, manufacture, lifespan & disposal - diesel or electric?
FACT CHECK: Checks Out! People often travel with more than one person on long trips and share driving thus blowing the 'you need to take breaks anyway' excuse out the water. Level3 Fast Charge destroys battery life thus adding to that other elephant in the room 'range anxiety'.
Same as it is in any car!!!!
You need a licence to start with, so work on that then repost
So Conroy is basically correct.
No problems in a $TSLA.
You’ve made a bold claim that Hyundai is a European manufacturer there . Might want to do a quick fact check on that.
Take a bus, you’ll get there faster.
