House votes to condemn Donald Trump's tweets as racist

President Donald Trump has declared he is not racist, after a series of tweets telling a group of non-white congresswomen to "go back to where they came from".

Mr Trump has also sworn in public multiple times, including in March when he accused the Democrats of "ridiculous bulls---" and in 2016, when he dropped the f-word during a rally in front of 5000 people.The House of Representatives voted on a resolution to condemn Mr Trump's tweets.And Texas congressman Al Green will tonight file articles of impeachment against the president.After a weekend marked by disunity, the Democrats were united in their criticism of the president.

"The president's tweets were shameful, they were racist, and they bring a tremendous amount of disgrace to public policy and public life," Mr Baker said. "Would Donald Trump ever tell a white immigrant – whether 1st, 2nd, 3rd or 4th generation – to 'go back to your country'? No. That's why the comments were racist and unacceptable," he tweeted.Who are 'the squad'?
