NSW's frontline healthcare workers will be given free accommodation by the state government after a grassroots-led movement took it upon themselves to rehouse medical staff | AngusGthompson

NSW's frontline healthcare workers will be given free accommodation by the state government after a grassroots-led movement took it upon themselves to rehouse medical staff to prevent the spread of COVID-19 to family members.

It comes after desperate healthcare workers, including those working in hospitals where cases of coronavirus have been detected and also treated, took to social media to seek out alternative accommodation from strangers in order to keep a safe distance from vulnerable family members, many of whom were either elderly or very young.
