One of the companies responsible for giving Australia's aged care home residents the coronavirus vaccine could have its contract torn up after Healthcare Australia gave false information to the federal government about the doctor's training.

An interim CEO will be chosen as the company tries to mend its relationship with the federal government. The doctor in question gave two Brisbane aged care residents a larger dose of the Pfizer vaccine this week, and had not done the mandatory training. "It is a company with a long history of medical provision across Australia, and a long history through COVID of medical provision, but frankly we have thrown the book at them."

One of the vaccine recipients, an 88-year-old man, was admitted to hospital for observation and is staying there for an unrelated elective surgery.Healthcare Australia has the federal contract for the vaccination workforce in NSW and Queensland, and Aspen Medical is responsible for the other states and territories.

Who put that Doctor there knowing he wasn't qualified someone did pretty sad but I think it was just a mistake the elderly couple have said they are fine, why go after the Doctor wasn't just him 😞

Why did they privatise the vaccine rollout?

SBS Yet ScottMorrisonMP hasn’t sacked anyone for covering up a rape incident at their workplace. ScottyFromCoverUps ScottyTheLiar RESIGN ScottyTheRapistProtector

SBS Calling the rollout a ‘debacle’ is a bit excessive. You are not helping, SBS with that kind of nonsense.

Was anyone stood down for the 800 deaths in Australian aged care due to COVID breaches ?

SBS It's important to know that there is no danger in an oversized dose

SBS How would anyone... trained/not trained think that you have to inject an entire bottle into someone

political_alert Our governments responses to Covid are and solute shambles and a joke. Imagine if it was a REAL Pandemic! ScottMorrisonMP DanielAndrewsMP GregHuntMP reignitedemaust WorkSafe_Vic ibacVic

Who will be stood aside in the LNP? They are ultimately responsible.

Sooooo this guys makes 1 mistake & has to stand down. DanielAndrewsMP kills 800 people, ruin a state & keeps his job. WHAT THE FK is going on.

Training is just that... knowing about the multi dose vials and the correct drawing up. The size of the syringe is an excuse... administrator of the vaccine would know the size to use and where to draw it up. Is this a case of the Doctor being arogant & training beneath them BS

I'm really hoping that my GP who works for a small local practice and has my health record and trained associates will administer my injection. As with the annual 'flu ones.

Greg Hunt and his magic Midas touch of effing everything up. Just waiting for Stuart Robert to make an absolute tits up of the digital vaccination certificates

Why are we using 1ml LDS syringes to dose 0.3ml of vaccine? ie doctor could only have administered 3.3 times the dose even if completely full. Modern technology uses prefilled syringes not multi shot vials, asking for trouble.

17,500+ vaccine doses administered but only just over 2000 in Victoria, second largest population. Why?

When will the health minister stand aside?

mahootna2 Who's gonna resign for excessive rapes in Parliament house?

“Stood aside.”

Nothing unusual when the Govt is involved. Might have been the 'cheaper' contract quote, too save a few dollars, the 'Shoddy Vaxer Company .' People should be wary now. Vets should not be doing this important work.

Why doesn’t this minister adopt the same principle of accountability and resign because of being incompetent LNPCorruptionParty

Odd how every pandemic stuff-up involves the Morrison government & private contractors. Federal aged care facilities; Dutton's failure to implement proper quarantine leading to the hotel quarantine outbreaks & Ruby Princess debacles; overdosing seniors with the vaccine.

How is a doctor untrained? Got their degree from a Weetbix packet

Queensland Health confirms one historical COVID-19 case | Sky News AustraliaQueensland health authorities have confirmed a historical coronavirus case which was in close contact to the so-called “super-spreader” event in Byron Bay last month. \n\nChief Health Officer Dr Jeanette Young announced the person is a recovered case and it was likely they acquired the infection while down in Byron. \n\nThe case also quarantined at home during the entirety of their infectious period and so posed no risk to the community. \n\n“There is no need to change any of our policy positions, it just shows a significant super spreader event at that part which we suspected all along,” Dr Young said. \n This is embarrassing Byron Bay are onto the scam and that's why they hjave new cases - here's the jist. ANY area that seems to be onto the scam will be then shown to be a naughty area and covid-19 cases will be declared in that area, making them look like a bad lot for even questioning the narrative.
