Anglicare's chief executive says the organisation will raise the possibility of extracting residents from its western Sydney aged care home at the centre of a COVID-19 cluster with those living inside the facility.
"We've clearly seen transmission that on the surface looks like there's been breaches of infection control amongst particularly the staff," NSW chief medical officer Kerry Chant said. "It only takes a moment. Our doctors are highly trained, but like everybody else you can make a mistake."Anglicare Sydney chief executive Grant Millard said"it would seem that's fairly obvious that there have been failings".When asked whether there would come a point where Anglicare would decide to remove some residents from the aged care home, Mr Millard said the option would be brought up with those living at Newmarch House.
People in Australia must stay at least 1.5 metres away from others. Check your state’s restrictions on gathering limits.

Years of profiteering off of vulnerable citizens gives rise to this debacle. Increase the number of Registered Nurses rather than staffing these death camps with cheap unskilled labour
