World Science Festival, the St Patrick’s Day Parade and The Streets are other highlights of the week in entertainment.

The boy wizard and 007 are not just iconic UK characters: they also have their own instantly recognisable theme tunes that are going to send shivers down the spines of audience members at two big Queensland Symphony Orchestra events.

will both screen at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre this week with their epic soundtracks performed live. World Science Festival Brisbane commences on Friday with the overarching theme of ‘Art and Science’ and a program of talks, performances, workshops and, um, robot wars. Live acts include UK rapper The Streets and 1980s rock stalwarts Boom Crash Opera, and the fancy shops of James Street are staying open late on Friday for a little end-of-week retail therapy.
