Shane Yore will spend his first Christmas without his son Rhys, who was killed in a road crash in Yeppoon in central Queensland in January this year.The 16-year-old died when the car in which he was a passenger crashed into the wall of a bridge."Rhys was incredibly full of life — as he got to his teenage years, he really inspired us, he inspired us to live a full and good life — he was everything.

"I've failed to recover a lot of the cognitive functions that you need for day-to-day living — memory, multi-tasking. "You've got to want to stay alive, you've got to want to see your family and grow up and have families of your own.Mr Yore says he is determined to do what he can to improve the behaviour of young drivers.Acting Superintendent Stephen Donnelly from the Road Policing Group said the so-called "fatal five" — speed, seatbelts, alcohol/drugs, fatigue and distraction — were to blame for most road deaths.

Ironic, after I first proposed the use of cameras to detect speed and redight offences back in 1988 ten years before they came out I have been trying for 2 decades to get police to try something I can prove will reduce road tolls but police don't care now
