'An excellent outcome for rugby league and another step towards the competition resuming on May 28' - Peter V'landys The Warriors will be arriving in Tamworth on Sunday afternoon after clearance was received via the Australian Border Force.

ARL chairman Peter V'landys is hopeful a"trans-Tasman bubble" will allow the Warriors to play a portion of the 2020 competition from New Zealand after the club on Saturday was granted official government permission to base itself in Tamworth from Sunday.

Players will then observe the mandatory two-week quarantine in country NSW, with a clearance for them to begin group training from Tuesday also delivered by the Federal and NSW governments. "As a game we cannot thank the Warriors enough for everything they are doing. Right from the start of this pandemic the club and its players have put the competition first and for that we will be forever thankful."

"Basically if those two restrictions are removed there's nothing stopping the Warriors going backwards and forwards as normal.

Come by war canoe, not a cruise ship, could'nt care less about RL overgrown spoilt buggers Cameron Smith only one making sense

OMG Good Luck WARRIORS!!! So much on the line - make it worth all this negativity and turn it into a POSITIVE - stay strong stay safe will be watching you back home - love you guys!

NRL Greedy inept toothless fools

This is BS

Yet people can’t attend funerals. Rules for some and zero for the real world. Joke of a sport.

Is the NRL paying for Border Force to be at Tamworth Airport to process the NZ Warriors when they arrive? Or is it the taxpayer paying for it?

NRL players can't follow basic laws like 'don't sexually assault women' and 'don't engage in sexual acts with animals' and yet we trust they will follow current rules

Greedy, Impatient COVIDIOTS

Well this is all going to end badly. NRL players staying in isolation for months on end? You're kidding surely. Players are either too stupid to understand rules or too arrogant to follow them, take your pick. Only true fools or protected species would do as Cleary & co. did

I hope there isn't a second wave, all because you couldn't go without a few games of footy.

You tied up our political system at a time when breast cancer patients can’t even get scans. 🤬🤬👎🏽👎🏽👎🏽 Selfish beyond measure and not real men by any stretch. Guess whining and votes gets you places. NRL

why are NRL players so fucking special

Qldaah Potato Head has announced that Border Force approved this. But Ruby Princess wasn't their responsibility? Anyone else find this confusing? PeterDutton

What about the NZ lady trying for weeks desperately to come to NSW to look after her dying sister? Knocked back repeatedly. Will isolate for 14 days hotel at own expense abcnews. As of yest. still denied entry. auspol PatConroy1 PatsKarvelas AlboMP Double standards AGAIN!

Are they crossing the Tasman on the Ruby Princess?

You have completely lost your marbles if you think getting special treatment like this is helping your public image. No wonder your players are arrogant thugs who flout laws, when you get them changed specially for you. Shows your lack of respect for Australians and the law.

Is pay deal sorted?

NRL and Origin return to Queensland with Premier's permissionNRL games will return to the Sunshine State when the competition resumes after Queensland-based sides were given approval to resume training and travel by the Palaszczuk government. Maybe giving players something to do will distract them from being stupid. So footballers, who can’t follow COVID 19 restrictions for the safety of us all, are more important than those of us who work & could even maintain social distancing in our businesses - the rest of us can’t gather in groups. Disgusting! nrl COVID19 qldpol
