Breaking: Fans can return to the football from next Thursday after the government gave the NRL permission for stadiums to cater for customers in the same way as pubs and clubs across NSW

Fans will return to the football from next Thursday after the government gave the NRL permission for stadiums to cater for customers in the same way as pubs and clubs across NSW.

Manly’s clash with Brisbane at Central Coast Stadium will mark the first time that limited numbers from the public will be able to attend live games. The NSW government has allowed pubs, clubs, cafes and restaurants to have up to 50 customers, subject to a one person per-four-square metre rule, with strict social-distancing measures.Rugby league stadiums will now come under the same rules, allowing fans to return to the football next week. The NRL aims to welcome back larger crowd numbers from July 1.

Its hardly “the fans that are returning. Its corporate boxes only.

Gladys in the kitchen, what are you doing?

And here comes the second wave.

So public events are back on ...

Crazy crazy.

Awesome, 10,000 or 20,000 gathered in a stadium but my kid cannot play a game of soccer with 19 other kids, even though kids are safe at school etc etc........I’m not trusting Scomos medical experts

What a joke .. coronavirus is on the way

niremas 50 people like pubs. Stop the click bait headlines

Yes! Lets have some more covid 19 cases! Well done vlandys!

But demonstration for BlackLivesMatter shouldn’t go ahead? GladysB is a hypocrite auspol nswpol

I can go to a footy match with 49 other people or go to a restaurant with 49 other people but I can’t have more then 5 people in my own. This is seriously insane.

But only 10 at a time. How many beers/wines/pies/chips/pizzas will be available?

But a peaceful gathering for BLM is illegal....They don’t even pretend to care for anything other than $$$$$.

As a % of the NSW population, how many actually attend NRL matches? It's ridiculous the amount of media and NSW govt attention the NRL is getting. auspol COVID19

So we can't go to protest against racism but 4 days later and all is well so the footy is allowed ❓Hypocrisy 👎👎

Stupidity of the highest levels

Same as pubs? Does that mean the stadium is counted as one venue and capped at the same capacity to limit the people arriving & leaving. Also how big is a corporate box? How many people can be in one allowing for the square metre formula taking into consideration staff entering?

Welcome, second wave!

50 people per game?

It’s time to allow church services, weddings and funerals to return to normal. You can tell what a nation values by its actions.

The hypocrisy of the NSW govt on full display. I daresay they will bend over & build the 4 stadiums that the NRL want because you know its footy.. instead of what we need Hospitals, Schools etc.

Can the perpetually offended read the article. It’s corporate areas only. No different to pubs and cafes. Not 20k people like your protest.

i hope there won't be any inflammatory chanting

Unbelievable! The hypocrisy train trundles on...

But they don't want us to protest police brutality this week? I wonder why? BlackLivesMatter AnotherDayInTheColony

GladysB you can’t seriously be taking protest organisers to the Supreme Court and then letting this happen in the same day?

Gladys is so corrupt it's hilarious.

government never learns

But not to exercise their democratic right to protest, apparently.

The GCTitans will continue their ongoing voluntary isolation program.

Too soon

Just ban protesting, right?

Are they seriously announcing this after saying the protests are too much of a health risk. Shameless.

Is this relevant to the injunction against the proposed BLM protests?
