Northern Queensland focused gold/copper hopeful Superior Resources has put its shares in a halt while its brokers chase fresh funds for the company’s drilling program.

Broker Whairo Capital was in the market on Thursday morning, seeking buyers for a $4.5 million parcel of new shares.The deal was priced at 3.8¢ a share, or a 15.5 per cent discount to the last close.

Funds raised would be used for drilling at Superior Resources’ Bottletree copper prospect, which is part of its Greenvale Project west of Townsville in Queensland, and the Steam Engine gold prospect on the same site. Whairo Capital was calling for bids by 5pm on Friday and told clients to expect some interesting names in the raising.
