The Gold Coast nursing home that abruptly closed earlier this year will reportedly not re-open after the federal government revoked the owner's licence to operate. Arthur Miller has reportedly lost his accreditation to run the troubled Earle Haven high-care facility.

The decision was made in August by the Aged Care Quality and Safety Commission, after the facility failed to meet any of the eight quality standards. Earle Haven shut its doors unexpectedly in July over a pay dispute, leaving 68 elderly residents homeless. Image: News Corp Australia
