A Gold Coast man has been arrested and is awaiting charges after allegedly reversing his car through the front door of a pub he was ejected from.

Staff of the Robina Pavilion were today cleaning up the wreckage of the incident, in which the man allegedly reversed his Holden Commodore down a narrow 20 metre walkway and into the hotel's front lobby in revenge for being kicked out. The 27-year-old man attended the pub last night, and was ejected from the premises for allegedly being too intoxicated.Soon after at 8.30pm the vehicle smashed through the front doors of the Pavilion, narrowly missing staff members.

"Absolutely dangerous, irresponsible, and I condemn it completely," Chief Superintendent Mark Wheeler said. "I'm just glad that no one was really seriously injured and we didn't see a loss of life out of that."
