George Floyd protests LIVE updates: Three other police officers charged as demonstrations take place in New York, LA and Washington

Of the three other men, only JA Kueng is currently in custody. The other two are expected to be brought into custody shortly.Minneapolis Mayor Jacob Frey has also commented on the new charges for those police officers. He said in a statement:

Barack Obama has said he is inspired by the involvement of young people in the George Floyd protests.Obama said he believed the coronavirus pandemic had disproportionately affected communities of colour in both its economic and health impact. "In some ways, as tragic as these past few weeks have been – as difficult and scary and uncertain as they've been – they've also been an incredible opportunity for people to be awakened to some of these underlying trends," he said.

In closing, Obama said he believed the difference between these protests and those of the civil rights movement was public support, urging people to not lose interest in the matter. The suit says officers threatened, assaulted and, in several cases, arrested members of the media, even after they identified themselves as journalists.

Maybe their employer should be investigated for not supplying them with the required safety and security equipment.

No media vest, standing in the middle of a riot. Maybe they should have moved instead of thinking they are important. This isn,t the polices fault. They are humans under pressure. Doing a tough job on a front line.
