Cricket Australia confirms the fourth and final Test between Australia and India will be played at the Gabba as scheduled.

Cricket Australia has confirmed the fourth and final Test between Australia and India will be played at the Gabba as scheduled.

There has been speculation for the past week that the Test could be moved due to India's reluctance to play under tough quarantine protocols in Brisbane. Cricket Australia's interim chief executive Nick Hockley has told ABC Sport that the fixture will remain unchanged after talks with Indian officials and the Queensland Government.

"The whole situation has been very fluid and then only recently we've had this latest lockdown in Brisbane which has added another layer of uncertainty," he said. "What we've been doing with the BCCI [Board of Control for Cricket in India] is methodically working through all of the operational plans and all of the details to reassure them that we can move safely."

Australia's Gabba dominance ends as inspired India revel in deserved Test series victoryBattered and bruised after a challenging summer, India dug deep to ice a series win on Australian soil with an astonishing triumph at the Gabba, leaving the hosts with some difficult conservations ahead, writes Russell Jackson. Great game, well done India! Took no chances. Mix it up. Marnus and Green can bowl yet never used. Starc wasnt getting it done so take a risk and throw a curve ball to the batsmen. Be different. Australia has always had a history of taking risks. We are now vanilla. Were the same set of bowlers played across four Tests more because of their record or current performance? Lyon and Starc didn't seem potent weapons (in hindsight)
