Cranes no longer dominate city skylines as construction declinesIn a further sign the construction phase in Sydney and Melbourne is slowing, the number of cranes in both cities is down with projects stalling due to economic uncertainty. I hope they are taking them down. I hate walking under them. To have one overhanging your home must be terrible. Rubbish. Canberra‘s skyline is dotted with cranes putting up massive apartment complexes everywhere. Around where I live two are half-way built, next year will see two more commenced either side of my complex, and with two more on the drawing board, all in 1 sq km. Everyone is too busy hunting for toilet paper!
