A woman in France has spent three years trying to prove she is alive after a court declared her dead in 2017. 9News

has spent three years trying to prove she is, in fact, alive, after a court declared her dead in 2017.or get health insurance because she has no official paperwork.Jeanne Pouchain who, since November 2017, has been declared dead by the French justice system.

"I went to see a lawyer who told me it would be quickly resolved as I had been to my doctor who certified that I was very much still alive," Mrs Pouchain said.Mrs Pouchain claims the staffer told the court she had died to win damages from her beneficiaries, following two other failed lawsuits.
