This is a very misleading headline. Nick Coatsworth labelled claim that a futility attitude to managing aged care was insulting, ie. that it was to be accepted there would be high number of elderly deaths. Very different from headline msge. Appallingly misleading.

NO you're the f**king lying moron DCMO, a disgrace to the medical profession and to the entire humanity.

Lynelle Briggs-public administration, Tony Pagone- judge , Peter Cosgrove-Army officer ..formed the team of commission..no one with medical knowledge and their perception is bound to be emotional than logical...lol..well said Dr Coatsworth.. I am with you.

The CCP Virus can be finished by hydroxychloroquine, zinc and azithromycin . Please put those drugs Over The Counter to save more lives. No one will be safe if WHO,Politicians, medias still keep lying.

Dr Nick is a legend! We are very very lucky to have him. Please don't insult him anymore!

Bad friggan luck....pathetic response that deserves to be called out

Yea, yet to hear a person over 80 with a differing opinion. I'm sure there's one out there, but if you knew your time was limited, you wouldn't want to waste it. Merle, how wonderful to see you, and I’m glad you’re “still alive”. I remember you from my long-ago world of social work among migrants - you were famous!

CMO rejects claims govt failed to enact aged care COVIDsafe plan | Sky News AustraliaThe Acting Chief Health Officer has denied accusations the government failed to have a COVIDsafe plan in place for the aged care sector which has seen 125 deaths at facilities across Victoria.\n\nThe Royal Commission into Aged Care will today hear evidence from a top expert in aged care policy who said he advised the government to send ADF personnel or other workers into aged care homes in April.\n\nProfessor Paul Kelly defended the national strategy saying the aged care sector was included in the response planning from the beginning. \n\nHe said the Australian Health Sector Response Plan, which was formulated in January and launched by the Prime Minister in February, “makes very specific mention of those vulnerable groups”. \n\nThe commission heard on Tuesday that there were disputes between officials over whether to send sick coronavirus patients from Sydney’s Newmarch House to hospital. \n\nReports emerged on Wednesday of similar incidents occurring in Melbourne which has seen sick elderly patients turned away from hospital, leaving them isolated in understaffed aged care facilities. \n\n Image: AP Does Matt Hancock work over there too guys? 👍🏼 There's nothing to deny when it's a fact. FatherBob Then they should be able to release the plan that was circulated, the date it was written and reviewed etc
