Players of one of the world's biggest video games Fortnite could find themselves casualties in a battle of tech titans as Epic Games refuses to capitulate to Apple and Google's mobile payments policies | TimBiggs

Players of one of the world's biggest video games could find themselves casualties in a battle of tech titans as developer Epic Games has refused to capitulate to the terms of Apple and Google's mobile stores in order to haveand Android Play Store on Friday after Epic violated the policies of both by offering players a choice of payment methods within. Players could either pay full price to Apple and Google, or 20 per cent less by paying directly to Epic.

Currently players on iPhones can still play the game if it's on their device, but it cannot be downloaded from the store and will not be able to be updated, meaning it could become unusable as new content is added to the game. On Android, which allows marketplaces other than Google's own, players can still get the game from Epic's own app or the Samsung Galaxy store.

"We expect to see a general change in smartphone practices industry-wide for all developers that brings greater value and freedom of choice to consumers."

Gambling or Gamboling? Please clarify. Weak story! From the Aboriginal community? Or the European community such as the Armenian Australian NSW Premier Berejiklian or Anglo Australian Andrews? Or the Asian community such as the Chinese Australian Mathematician Eddie Woo? Come on journalists report the facts! I hate gambling, but bringing the Children in is a better option than the car, or coming home with lies of no money for food and bills. Children see loses first hand and hopefully learn from it.
