The first-ever chief justice of the Family Court says Senator Pauline Hanson’s claim that women fabricate family violence complaints is "appalling" and "not true".
One Nation's Pauline Hanson says mothers are making up domestic violence claims to stop fathers getting access to their children.She said she was hearing of "too many cases" where "parents are using domestic violence to stop the other parent from seeing their children". “Those sorts of claims need to be substantiated by evidence and not just based on one or two instances you might know of.
Ms Sexton said she was very concerned about comments Senator Hanson made on radio relating to the experiences of her own son. "I am concerned by the strength of her convictions that men in general are not fairly treated by the family law system." "Certainly under-resourcing is top of the list – there's not enough courts, enough processes or people," she said.
The less said about this offensive woman the better
A very small minority of women do lie. But the vast majority and their children need to be protected by a system that let's them down. Removing the lying, exploiting lawyers would be a good start.
It is true and many people can't handle the truth.
At the time she was Chief Justice the DV industry had not yet evolved and such allegations were far less commonplace-and perhaps more likely to be true. The DV industry since the 90s legislative changes that give advantages to women making such claims means the game has changed.

Wouldn't be the first time definitely not the last time someone lied in Court during a divorce, people can get pretty nasty during these procedures and try anything to get what they want in some cases, it's hard to disprove that you abused some one

SOME woman DO fabricate domestic violence claims, some woman actively attack men, and then claim domestic violence... that is what makes it so hard for the legitimate claimants, others lie.
An out of touch criticism. Many people are affected by the reverse discrimination of our family courts. Many decisions made based on a biased assumption that all men are aggressive towards women. Not true! Suicide figures support this.

You've got the story wrong, the former FC chief justice admitted that there were women fabricating claims and that the FC was biased against men. Can't the SMH get that simple story correct.
