An Adelaide council insists it has made a suburban football club facing eviction fully aware of the sexual harassment allegations against some of its players, despite claims by the club it remains in the dark.

said it needed to go further in acknowledging the bad behaviour.

"The intimidating behaviour and sexual harassment by an element within the club — the details have not been made public because people have given their evidence confidentially," he said."It comes back to the question how council could have confidence that the intimidating and sexual harassment behaviour will cease if there's no acknowledgment that it ever occurred."

The City of Port Adelaide Enfield council voted to extend the financially stricken team's lease by a year — a decision that was met with cheers from members.
