NASA has carried out a world-first planetary defence test - crashing a rocket into an asteroid spinning through space. The test is expected to provide invaluable data about altering the course of celestial bodies. apiotrowski9 9News MORE:

A 60-year-old woman was on her way to buy dessert from a nearby McDonald's when she allegedly blew nearly five times the legal alcohol limit in Melbourne.

Police were talking to another driver on the Princes Highway in Noble Park at 7.30pm when a woman stopped to tell them a driver had crashed into her car and she was concerned the woman shouldn't be driving.A breath test of the driver returned an alleged reading of .249.Her licence was suspended for 12 months, and she will be charged on summons with drink driving and traffic offences.The woman was taken to hospital for observation, Victoria Police, said.
