The Bureau of Meteorology has warned of wild weather for the state's east coast today as many towns remain on alert for flooding.
"There is a risk of severe storms extending south from the Mid North Coast down towards the lower Hunter and touching parts of the Blue Mountains. "An earlier flood peak moving downstream along the Namoi River peaked early Thursday morning at Wee Waa, where major flooding is likely to continue into next week," the bureau said.
