The decision comes after the Biden administration released a plan to begin a third round of booster shots. The rollout was scheduled to start next week.

The decision comes after major disagreements in the agency over the efficacy of a third dose. Pfizer will need to conduct further studies before full approval is given. She said only a subset of the population was clearly at risk of contracting a serious version of the COVID-19 virus.
