The unnamed Illinois State Police District Chicago trooper bought a large cup of black coffee from a Dunkin’ Donuts store in Chicago on Thursday night and happened to remove the lid to allow the drink to cool down as it was “extremely hot”.
That’s when he saw the mucus, which Illinois State Police said in a press release had later been confirmed to be saliva. Dunkin’ Donuts employee Vincent J Sessler, 25, was later arrested and charged with disorderly conduct, reckless conduct, and battery to a peace officer.
Illinois State Police director Brendan F Kelly also issued a statement condemning Mr Sessler’s actions. “This is outrageous and disgusting.
