The distraught family of slain Australian surfer Sean McKinnon, who was killed in New Zealand, have had their son's body returned to them.
A 23-year-old man was charged with his murder on Saturday. He allegedly fired several shots into the couple's campervan, then drove off with Mr McKinnon dying inside.Ms Buckley managed to escape and fled to a nearby farmhouse to call for help. Mr McKinnon's body was later found in the vehicle in the nearby town of Gordonton at 8am on Friday.

Only so many new handouts the ACTU can chase at any one time, but if we are not feeling fit for duty, that is what sick leave is for. Wouldn't have thought so. That is what sick leave is for. Besides, l work with plenty of women who rarely take any sort of sick day let alone a menstrual leave day. We have survived this long without the need for such a day. Ridiculous. Some women do need this kind of leave. Feminists must realise women are first and foremost the producers of children - this is their biology. They have other destinies too but clearly mothering is number one. No getting away from it.

Tough new rules put brakes on driving licence pass rates in WAThe number of applicants passing their driver's licence test in WA has steadily fallen over the past 10 years but authorities deny accusations the system is broken and unfairly penalising young people. Happened to me. They lie and say you brake too heavily x number of times when it never happened. It’s 120 hours supervised driving in NSW. So double WA requirements. Too many P platers die on our roads, stop complaining about being more stringent. Good. The less nuffies passing their tests, the better. If it was way harder and more expensive to get your licence, people might actually be more worried about losing it.
