Minister for Skills and Training Brendan O’Connor has slammed the previous Coalition government over its"failure to act" on the critical skills shortage in Australia.
Mr Albanese declared Labor were putting"considerable resources" into the system since coming to power in May, with extra staff brought in to help address the backlog. Mr O’Connor appeared on Sky News Australia on Thursday where he also blamed the Coaltion government for the country's lack of overseas workers.
He said while the report card showed the current situation, it also revealed the previous government's"failure to act and invest in areas of existing and future demand" in the economy.
