England has poached one of the most successful coaches in Australian cricket.

A new-look England and Wales Cricket Board opted to split the men's coach role into two, following Chris Silverwood quitting as all-encompassing men's coach.

He has been a driving force behind Australia's women's team becoming a sporting force over the last decade. "Matthew has played an instrumental role in the success of our incredible women's team, driving a team-first mentality, and creating an environment that's allowed the players to blossom into some of the world's leading cricketers," Cricket Australia CEO Nick Hockley said.
