An emergency warning is in place for a bushfire burning in the northern suburbs of Perth, threatening lives and homes.

An emergency warning is in place for a bushfire burning in the northern suburbs of Perth. The alert was issued for Yanchep Beach Road and Old Yanchep Road, Indian Ocean Drive and Marmion Avenue and Two Rocks Road - in the City of Wanneroo.

The Department of Fire and Emergency Services warned there is a threat to lives and homes, and residents should act immediately to survive. There are reports of damage to property and an evacuation centre has been set up at Quinns Rock Sports Club. Image: News Corp Australia
