Eight witnesses to be called for five-day trial against former NSW detective Gary Jubelin | lucycormack

Mr Jubelin appeared at the Downing Centre Local Court for the brief mention, accompanied by a number of supporters including former NSW Police deputy commissioner Nick Kaldas.

He added he had made "no attempt to conceal" that he had made the recordings, of which police were aware.The court heard on Tuesday the five-day trial would likely involve cross examination of up to eight witnesses, a number of which are expected to be police officers. Among the large contingent of supporters joining Mr Jubelin in court were Mark and Faye Leveson, the parents of murder victim Matthew Leveson. Mr Leveson'sMr Jubelin left NSW Police in May, having joined the force in 1985.
