Doctors could receive notifications about suspected coronavirus outbreaks after it was revealed authorities missed a chance to catch the beginnings of the Cedar Meats cluster.

Australian Medical Association’s Victorian president Julian Rait said he spoke to Dr Sutton on Wednesday, who conceded the department needed to be “a bit more transparent” about where outbreaks were occurring and provide earlier warnings, particular to local general practitioners.

Calls for a notification system for doctors have been echoed by the Royal Australian College of General Practitioners, and Victoria council member Dr Bernard Shiu said the health department was open to such a measure. Cedar Meats was not contacted by the department until April 27, according to the company, when they were advised a staff member who had been taken to hospital for emergency treatment on a severed finger had tested positive to the disease.“They have advised us that the positive case on April 2 had not been in the workplace for four weeks prior to the positive test,” she said in a statement.

I know that not everything you read online is true, maybe none of it, but was this business really a big donor of $ to the ALP and was the cluster kept quiet and possibly poorly managed to protect their brand image?

“We can only go on what we’re told, Victoria’s Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton'. You were told that he worked there so test there...Who goes around believing what other people tell them like a naive 10 year old, rather than a highly qualified rational medical professional.

But if it’s halal , hide it .
