The high-profile Australian Paralympian says he is devastated after the Government trumpets a near-return to surplus, partially on the back of a $4.6 billion NDIS underspend.

He tweeted that he is heartbroken for families"who try to get funding but can't"

The nine-time wheelchair tennis major winner and disability advocate was speaking after Treasurer Josh Frydenberg released Treasury figures showing the budget deficit for the 2018-19 financial year was just $690 million, down from the $4.2 billion figure forecast in April. "I see the heartbroken families of people who try and try to get funding but can't, robbing them to be independent, contributing members of society. Fix it."In April the EOFY deficit was predicted to be $4.2 billionThe labour market grew by 2.6 per cent across 2018-19Alcott's comments come after the Federal Opposition was quick to jump on the lowered spend on the NDIS, with Shadow Treasurer Jim Chalmers saying it was"propping up" the budget.

I didn't vote for this government but if it upsets Saint Dylan I'm all for it. (The Set must be the most inept and embarrassing show the ABC has ever produced, a hideous pastiche of Rockwiz and Later with Jools Holland with Marigliano as the bimbo on the bonnet lol).

People are screaming out for help and constantly getting blocked stonewalled and delayed

Whoa children and Dylan give a worlds first a chance to get off the ground. If we had one case officer for each applicant there would be no money for applicants so hence a wait list. Let the 'rollout be orderly' not knee jerk driven by squeeky wheels. Dylan u can pay ur own way

That's not what LNP said ....

Where have all the disability support services outside NDIS gone? Their all NDIS funded and when their package will not fund a disability support worker what do they do?

So are 250,000 other disabled people who actually rely on it for support.

'Big stick' energy laws return to parliamentThe government's revived proposal that threatens to break up power companies that are found to be raising prices unfairly has been introduced to parliament. LNP abandons fundamental tenet that market forces drive the optimal economy. ✅ 🇦🇺 Australian 🇦🇺 PM Scott John Morrison will be remembered as 'Slippery Slick, Super Stick Scott'! ✅ He's favourite sport should be Rounders (Baseball), not League, as his Govt are obsessed with swinging their political bats in every direction trying to look tough & caring! CA will support this if it's applied to all businesses. That means if passed those amendments could cause a breakup of News Corp...wouldn't that be amazing?

Govt takes 'tough action' on live export industry | Sky News AustraliaDeputy Nationals Leader Bridget McKenzie says the National Party of Australia is committed to restoring confidence in the $1.7 billion live export industry. \n\nA bill to appoint an Inspector General to oversee the live animal export industry was passed by parliament this week after the practice made headlines in 2018 for the mistreatment of animals. \n\nMs McKenzie told Sky News “our government’s really taken tough action on the industry to ensure it’s regulated appropriately”. \n\n“What we saw last year was a tragedy, but I think out of that tragedy we as a government, the department of agriculture, and the industry itself, knows it is on notice and is taking proactive steps to give the public confidence that our animals are being treated humanely while being exported,” she said. \n\n“The issue is making sure we have a sustainable industry going forward and I think we’re on a positive trajectory to achieving that.” \n\nImage: News Corp Australia senbmckenzie About bloody time senbmckenzie you have no say Barnaby_Joyce The_Nationals, Morrison, Frydenberg and Cormann pull all the economic strings and its surplus then recession, stuff the bush and the most vulnerable. senbmckenzie What about the water required for this livestock ? Climate advocate Flannery a ‘symbol of the professional fear-monger’ | Sky News AustraliaSky News host Andrew Bolt says outspoken climate change activist Tim Flannery is “the perfect symbol of the death of reason” and “the rise of the professional fear-monger”. \n\nMr Bolt noted that Mr Flannery is a mammal expert, not a climate scientist, that is “preaching” on global warming. \n\nThe broadcaster criticised Mr Flannery’s article for The Conversation in which he wrote, 'my children, and those of many prominent polluters and climate denialists, will probably live to be part of that grim winnowing – a world that the Alan Joneses and Andrew Bolts of the world have laboured so hard to create”. \n\nMr Bolt claimed Mr Flannery has misquoted experts, made wild predictions that don't come true, urged the waste billions of dollars and scared children with claims that billions of people will be wiped out.\n\nImage: AP\n Bolt is partially correct as I am unsure if Tim is an expert at anything (willing to be proved wrong). Everyone is an expert when it comes to this scam oops I mean science. Still more of a scientist than Bolt
