Sydney's Catholic church says people of faith are being treated differently than those wanting a drink at a pub, as coronavirus restrictions ease.
The Catholic Archbishop of Sydney Anthony Fisher says he is standing up for freedom of worship"when I see so many double standards being applied to people of faith".
"We have a ridiculous situation where a restaurant with a dimension of 200 square metres can now have 50 people for hours on end, while St Mary's Cathedral, which is more than 10 times larger, is only allowed 10 people," he said.
Double standard is private schools getting millions of dollars in bribes to return to school while public schools go without

Last I checked, the number of people in churches who raped children are more than the number in pubs. So, yeah. It is good that people of (Christian) faith are treated differently. Also note, there are people of other faiths who haven't got a whinge about this so far.

Quite frankly, I don't care. The Catholic Church has had so many favourable decisions that have ensured their financial success. Losing money for awhile? Tell someone who cares.

Or...risk is being weighed against contribution to society. Pubs provide jobs and taxes only when they are open. So they have been ranked as more worthy of the risk to society in a socially distanced paradigm than physical attendance at church.

Actually my church is running low on funds. It has a homelessness mens day where they can speak to a psychologist, get their clothes cleaned, a feed and help with a job. Also many food drops to the needy, as well as childrens charities and helping elderly those with disabilities
