New Zealand's Prime Minister has told Scott Morrison that the Australian government's policy of deporting convicted criminals who were born overseas is 'corrosive' to the relationship between the two nations | rharris334

New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern has attacked the Australian government's policy of deporting convicted criminals who were born overseas, declaring it "corrosive" to the relationship between the two nations.

Tough talking: New Zealand Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern was not afraid to take on Scott Morrison at the latter's official Sydney residence.Ms Ardern said while many of those deported might have been born in New Zealand, they had lived most of their lives in Australia and had no connections in their country of origin."I have heard countless cases of individuals who on any common-sense test identify as Australians," Ms Ardern said.

rharris334 We should protect home grown products and not deport them.

rharris334 jacindaardern ...Why do you refer to these Kiwi criminals as Australia’s problem ? As an Australian taxpayer I’d like to see AusGov spending elsewhere thanks.

rharris334 Yes Jacinda is Right if they lived here from age seven They are ours, doesn't matter where they were born And sending Parents back to Sri-lanka the children Were born here and they need their parents wake up to the harm you are doing to humanity. in the name of What. (Hitler)

rharris334 This is the difference between the treatment of citizens

rharris334 The largest number of Aus' immigrants & people illegally here come from the UK. Statistics on the returns to England versus NZ. would be interesting PROBLEM : The current government refuses to give out meaningful information/statistics in this type of stuff, Why the secrecy?

rharris334 Is she loosing elections?

rharris334 Oi. Our rules, our way. And while we're at it. Isnt it a contradiction of terms for a kiwi to refer to 'common sense' and Newzealand in the same sentence?

rharris334 Who cares ? Been to NZ a dozen times. Wouldn’t break my heart if I never went again.

rharris334 How do you rehabilitate a criminal who is deported to a place they have zero connection to? auspol

rharris334 Whilst she burns Australians in her volcanoes.. I thought her climate change policies were going to save the world

rharris334 No one gives a toss. Keep doing it

rharris334 She is right. If they’ve been here for ages we’re stuck with them. Look at Barnaby bloody Joyce.

rharris334 The relationship NZ PM & Aust PM is already corrosive independent of NZ criminals being sent back to NZ.

rharris334 As if I care, soany kiwis living here

rharris334 Let’s hope the people of NZ vote out this corrosive power hungry woman, her mask is slipping

rharris334 How dare she come to our country and lecture us.

rharris334 Get stuffed! New Zealanders living in Australia get so many benefits that others don't. But if you commit a serious crime and you're not an Australian citizen you're going home once you finish your sentence. Please name another country that would not do the same.

rharris334 Who let this socialist into the country.

rharris334 Too bad, Jacinda. Your people, your criminal!

rharris334 tell him off He is so arrogant even Pacific leaders were pissed off

rharris334 I'm an ex Kiwi. My suggestion... Ignore Ardern! Tell it to go home!

rharris334 we will do whatever we want ,Ardern can feel free to send back Tarrant whenever she wants .

rharris334 ScottMorrisonMP - Scotty from marketing not getting the message

rharris334 Ardern herself is ‘corrosive’ to the relationship. This AU policy applies to citizens from all other nations. Enough of the election year grandstanding!

rharris334 Oh dear. Show-pony playing for the domestic audience.

rharris334 If you're not a citizen and you commit a crime here, off you go.

rharris334 I wonder how she would be if we had the death penalty for the drug offences these people committed. I bet they’d be genuine Kiwis and please send them home. Criminals (The End)

rharris334 Don’t take her seriously. It was for NZ electioneering purposes.

rharris334 Desperation from Ardern. Maybe things not going so well for her back home.

rharris334 I think it is an overreaction by Ardern. Criminals who haven’t taken citizenship have to be deported. It is as simple as that.

rharris334 That is reasonable when those being deported have been brought up in Australia.

rharris334 Tough
