Sky News host Chris Kenny says “all eyes" are on Michael Bloomberg “as he enters the race with his bags of campaign dollars”. Mr Kenny said Bloomberg’s key pitch had the same “fatal flaw” commonly used by the Democrats – “motivated simply by their hatred of Trump”.

“Where is the agenda for the future, where is the plan to improve the country, to boost the economy, to provide security and to do something for voters?” he asked. “This is the same old sucker punch - Trump is boasting about his jobs, growth, low taxes and improved security record - and the Democrats are just hating on Trump.
