Premier Daniel Andrews has announced 'fundamental changes' to the easing of COVID-19 restrictions in Victoria.Victoria will "flip the switch" and further ease COVID-19 restrictions on Friday regardless of whether the 80 per cent vaccination target is reached, Premier Daniel Andrews has announced.
The premier on Sunday announced the eased restrictions will kick in on Friday at 6pm, when around 80 per cent of the population aged over 16 is expected to be fully vaccinated. The state is due to hit the 90 per cent target on 24 November, Mr Andrews said, which will trigger sweeping changes to the rules Victorian residents are currently living under.
