Victorian Chief Health Officer Brett Sutton says the plan in national cabinet is to flatten the curve, 'but elimination is still in scope, and if we happen to have a happy accident of elimination then we are able to have that as an ongoing strategy'.

The national cabinet will meet twice this week to discuss relaxing current national restrictions, which could begin on a regional basis.

"There won't likely be a threshold. If there was an increase in COVID-19, it's likely it would be in a very confined geographic area or a region of Australia and so you would expect a regional response or quarantine."It's time to check back in with our poll today, which asks: Do you support Victoria's current restrictions?

So far, our poll has attracted 22,400 votes and 76 per cent of responders are in favour of keeping Victoria's current state of lockdown. Around 13 per cent believe restrictions should be eased, while 11 per cent want to keep wider restrictions but send kids back to school.Premier Annastacia Palaszczuk plans to send all Queensland students back to school by May 25.

According to the proposed plan, the Premier says kindergarten, Prep and years 1, 11 and 12 will return to school on May 11.Authorities will reassess the situation on May 15, before the planned full reopening of schools on May 25.

“The plan is to flatten the curve” is DictatorDan and his minion for real? We’re not going to get to zero, stop with the fear and oppression. 75% of Victorians voted that they support the restrictions, they must all be loving life on JobKeeper and JobSeeker.

What do these doctors of political science actually define as 'flat'? It looks pretty flat. If that is not flat, what is flat?

Even Victoria can eliminate it,how about the rest of Australia, the rest of world?
