Two attendees of the BLM protests on June 6 officially had their positive COVID-19 tests linked to a cluster at the locked down public housing towers. While health authorities conceded there was link between the protests and the towers, they would not confirm whether the positive cases were residents, visitors or close contacts. More than 3,000 residents across nine public housing towers were sent into hard lockdowns for five days after the state's caseload spiked to 240 cases on June 25.
