Residents in the Northern Territory have enjoyed a long weekend of freedom after the first lot of restrictions were lifted.

The NT government hailed its response to the coronavirus crisis a success, with 30 cases in total and no new cases for 28 days.

The Northern Territory government signaled restrictions would be further relaxed on May 15, with the reopening of pubs, restaurants and cafes.
