A Victorian woman was this afternoon convicted of two counts of failing to comply with police directions to self-isolate at Kingston, in the state's south-east, after travelling into SA last week. Very shaky ground. Blocking entry is likely to be unconstitutional. If the govt jails someone they'd be exposed to damages surely. Dont agree with rule breakers but states are playing a very loose interpretation of the constitution.
Let them all go. They’re also indirectly victims of Covid-19. Hope that they don’t get Covid-19 for their appearance in court.
