There are growing concerns for Melbourne after 150 people who tested positive for COVID-19 were found to be breaching lockdown measures. 9News

Yesterday, more than 1100 door knocks were conducted by ADF and health officials and while most people are doing the right thing, astonishingly, 150 people who have tested positive for COVID-19 were not home when authorities knocked on their doors.Police conduct a spot check at a Melbourne home.

Of those, 51 were for people not wearing face masks, 43 for curfew breaches in Melbourne and 11 at vehicle check points. Concerns for Melbourne's deadly second wave has been accentuated by a survey which found one in five nurses didn't have access to protective equipment at the start of each shift. It comes as 139 health care workers test positive to coronavirus in in the last 24 hours - taking the state's total to nearly 1000.

The strict lockdown measures are in place to stop the spread of COVID- 19 as cases remain stubbornly high, with Victoria recording 450 new infections yesterday and 11 Victorians, ranging from their 50s to their 90s losing their lives.

Jail

Jail

The rest of the country should just lock Victoria out of everything for the next two years...... stupid, stupid, stupid, selfish people.

But let’s blame Dan

Throw them in Jail. Simple as that. In the Spanish flue 1918. You didn't wear a mask you were put in Jail no questions asked.

Suggestion fine max amount and it goes as a tax debt that they pay off at tax time if can’t pay it straight away. Also it’s time for ankle bracelets.

Ffs, throw them in mandatory quarantine, hit them with the $3000 bill and a $17000 fine on top of that. Maybe the pricks that are spreading it will get the freaking hint.

Arrest them and send them to jail for 6 months

Can we see their faces please, let's not be selective!

Looks like Vic is going to locked out of the rest of the country for a fair while then. Only got themselves to blame...dick heads

Time to name & shame

If any of these people were seeking medical attention, I would understand. If they aren’t, each deserve $5k fines and $1k for every minute they aren’t at home. People aren’t just dying from the virus, over 400 Melbournians have taken their lives in 2020.

It’s really easy jail them, don’t fine them, dont try to reason with them, don’t slap them on the wrist.... jail them.

And they wonder why the virus keeps spreading.

Please consider stripping their Medicare benefits if found to breach restrictions. This is very good measures in countering these stupid ppl.ScottMorrisonMP

THOSE FUCKERS are the ones that the authorities must come down on. Not the rest of the community

my (me 26) money is on young people breaching lockdown measures

I think Pauline was right to doubt the calibre of Melbourne's population

Make them do public service when the pandemic is over helping clean the streets or helping older people etc fines don’t work

Lock them up together- make them share a few cells- they obviously don’t care about being around others.

Maybe they were on BLM March

I don't know how Victoria can protect its self from the selfish idiots who know they are infected or at least a high risk of infecting others, and are still moving about the comunity. Maybe the government needs to publish their photos and addresses.

This is an example of why the virus keeps spreading.

Isolation in jail should work

A host of the virus : The virus is conspiracy! I'm not dying from the virus. I will spread the virus to any person I god-damn want to!

Those 150 ppl are smarter than you. They know if they would say they are in weak economic positions and then the fine can be waived off due to sympathy. That’s why they never care for others.

5 adf/police need to walk close together like that do they? I already know 1 police officer that got coronavirus, so how many more did they expose?

Pure propaganda, 100% BS

Some people ( Fools) just don't get it.
