Sky News Political Editor aclennell says senbmckenzie resisting calls to resign over the sporting club grants scandal has created a major mess for the Coalition.

Sky News Political Editor Andrew Clennell says Bridget McKenzie resisting calls to resign over the sporting club grants scandal has created a major mess for the Coalition.

“What a situation for the government where we’ve got this minister - who I’m pretty sure the Prime Minister wants to get rid of – saying ‘you can’t get rid of me I haven’t done anything wrong’,” he said. “This has been dragging for a few days. What a mess. “If the government wants to keep bleeding on it they can keep Bridget McKenzie on the job – I don’t think that’s the wise thing politically.”

aclennell senbmckenzie Since when should we listen to news papers? Should be fully investigated before it gets to a jury and the decision made. I hope Albo if he ever gets into office will stop using paper bags if this sets a precedent.

kcarr_50 aclennell senbmckenzie The political editor seems to have missed developments of last couple of days. Looking like Bridge knows more about this than she's letting on, and that's why Morrison isn't acting. She would spill a big can of beans all over him! Nobody thinks she did this alone do they?

aclennell senbmckenzie Has anyone ever heard of the saying Innocent until prove guilty?

aclennell senbmckenzie Like going to your wedding with a large boil on your nose. (Lance it)

aclennell senbmckenzie She should not resign Andrew...there will be half a dozen on the front bench including Morrison that will have known of this pork-barreling. It is early in the cycle LNP can cop this, some rules will be changed and some of those that missed out given grants perhaps?
