Clementine Ford apologised after she tweeted that COVID-19 wasn't killing men fast enough.

had decided not to proceed with her application for the grant from the City of Melbourne.

The news comes after Ms Ford tweeted on May 23, "honestly, the coronavirus isn't killing men fast enough". It sparked a twitter storm, with Cr Capp calling the comments "deliberately divisive" and "incredibly unhelpful" in the face of tackling COVID-19 as a community.

Ugh. She’s an intellectual featherweight with the self control of scorpion.

Glad she apologised . It should be faster

Who is she

Good. Her comment damages feminism anyway. If you want to convince sensible men of social issues which negatively affect women, you need to not alienate them.

What a pathetic excuse for a person. Such inciteful hatred adds no value or benefit to this society. This level of abuse needs to be immediately shutdown.where was Twitter when these comments were made. They check facts but do not stop repulsive incitement of hate.

Bless her tiny little heart. Sounds like the penny’s dropped on funding grants. clementine_ford

A half-arsed qualified apology to an incredibly divisive and misguided tweet.. What an infantile arguement that “patriachy” can justify this misandry ... you want men to be better? Perhaps start with your own behaviour

And she’s been absolutely crucified for it... as only snowflake white incels can do. They’ll only be happy when she is dead... because they say that and NOTHING happens to them

Appeasement is not an apology

I dont mind that joke.

Dear men, not all women are like this. We need you. Love Sx

No fan of her hyperbolic self promotion but some of the comments to this tweet are disgusting

When did we confuse senseless angry rants for literature? This person is just a Avi Yemeni bookend.

I don’t care if she apologies or not and I don’t think people should lose their jobs over this kind of crap. But we’ve already started along this road with the constant harassment of white men if they so much as look sideways. And the Folau mess too. So we need to burn her too 🤭

Yeah she definitely wants equal rights ....

I always look for ironic outcomes. Like, what if covid killed her? Or, what if she was murdered... by a female, or a feminist? Of course im not wishing death on anyone, but the ironic laughs just write themselves! Imagine

Clearly she is pissed that her child is a boy.

And this is the fundamental difference between decent people and the rest - The ability to admit an error and be better next time.

Here’s an idea...read the apology in full. I mean...I know people don’t like doing things like that and would rather comment randomly on a headline...but, you know...you could? You might learn something.

She should be in the same category as Miriam Margoyal under the heading “ Vile Women we should be ashamed of”

Oxygen thief. Yes men can be evil. And so can women. This is an example of an evil woman..

Really getting tired of the uptick in racism, sexism, and the move towards tribalism in general. Man/white bashing is just as unacceptable as woman/black bashing. We are all flawed human beings who need to self improve.

Such a sweet soul! 😂😂

Don't give her oxygen. Clearly this done for attention. Her apology was followed by lots of excuses trying to justify it...

Moron at her highest

Grant should be revoked this is a person that spreads hate to raise her own profile.

Why is this lunatic allowed to stay in Australia? Time to deport her Mr Dutton.

If it wasn't for a male she would not exist.

What a horrible person!

Good, she is a disgrace!

Not acceptable. Put her on a train and send her to a camp. Bye bye.

Must hv got scammed or hurt by men many of times ? ... poor girl.

She's also said kill all men hundreds of times. Remember, she used to work for you?

She is the Mark Latham of the left wing. Her new look is cute, but her worldview Is psychotic

She’s outrageously stupid.

Misogyny & Misandry are the same thing...Sh*t people doing sh*t things to innocent people. Clementine is part of the problem.

Really poor form on her part. 'Come on, Clementine' really should become the catchphrase to use when someone acts out in an idiotic manner like this.

I reckon men aren't killing women slow enough.

In case people thought it was a once off

Clementine Ford and Andrew Bolt are both a disgrace and should both be fired.

She is purely evil. Good move.

I mean... check out the comments.. men are obviously angels.

Too little too late.

What is the matter with some women hating men so much? Do these women realize we all have male and female qualities within? Learn to discern better. I have met some incredible men and yes there are creeps but I don't hang out with them. There are a lot of creepy females too.

Cost of COVID-19 restrictions in regional areas exacerbated by 'low foot traffic' | Sky News AustraliaVacy Hall Toowoomba Director Graham Higgins said the impact of coronavirus restrictions upon his business had been “really difficult” and “really costly”. \n\nBusinesses in Toowoomba have been denied the chance to have Easter trade, long weekend trade and Anzac day trade and still suffer under a range of coronavirus-related restrictions enforced by the Queensland government. \n\nMr Higgins said restrictions on trading days had cost him $60,000 dollars over the last two months in lost revenue.\n\n“If you add it up across the whole industry it’s probably a nine-billion-dollar cost across the state where we’ve got 250,000 people working in the tourism and hospitality industry in Queensland,” he told Sky News host Paul Murray. \n\n“That is 250,000 families and lives effected by the COVID-19 shut-down”. \n\nMr Higgins said, the loss of the “drive market” from Brisbane, Gold Coast, Sunshine Coast, the cancellation of flights from Sydney and Melbourne and the complete lack of international visitors had really “hurt” business. \n\nImage: News Corp Australia

Thousands of predicted COVID-19 deaths never eventuated - was it poor modelling or our response?Australia's policymakers were in March bracing for up to 150,000 deaths, by late May Australia had just 103 deaths. Yet ABC said we all be dead right now, they must be really upset. Not that they made a fool of themselves, but because we are alive Of course it was a bit of both, but the modelling was dodgy and the response was arbitrary, heavy-handed and made up on the run. The important thing is to learn from this for a rational, measured, systematic response for the next time.
