Two agents from the United States' Central Intelligence Agency fear they were attacked with a sophisticated microwave weapon while visiting Australia late last year, as part of a global campaign by Russia targeting US officials.
The suspected attack on Australian soil is believed to have occurred at some point during the spring of 2019, before the CIA agents were then similarly targeted when they travelled on to Taiwan.One of the CIA agents attacked in Australia and Taiwan is understood to be among the agency's five highest-ranking officials.
The Australian Government declined to comment on the reports and the US embassy in Canberra referred questions to the CIA, which has not yet responded.

Very simple to detect microwave weapon while it's being used. Agents could easily monitor their surroundings with handheld device or larger scanner. Either CIA is being slack or this is just misinformation. Sounds like fake news (even though we hate using the term). ASIO ASIS

No. This isn't a microwave weapon. Microwaves are used to transmit data from dish to dish, are not aligned remotely, require a technician onsite to physically align a dish & signal transfers from tower to tower. 5G beam could be directed & concentrated, which could be an issue.
