"I also ask and advise individuals to report those cases to the police if it's a serious threat of violence or property damage, or to the Human Rights Commission for any other racist attack," he told the ABC."Ask them not to do it. Don't stand by and let it happen because we all have a responsibility to call it out."
Last month, ACT Discrimination Commissioner Karen Toohey noted reports to the ACT Human Rights Commission of racist incidents had increased in March, including against health workers and retail staff.
