China stepped up a travel warning to Australia on Monday, telling its citizens of a risk of being searched"arbitrarily" by law enforcement authorities, as tensions between both countries grow.

The foreign ministry's latest notice comes a month after Beijing warned of"discrimination" against Chinese people in Australia, telling its citizens not to travel there.in response to China's crackdown on dissent in the city, encouraging entrepreneurs or skilled workers to relocate as well.

Tensions between Australia and China have been escalating on various fronts after Beijing reacted with fury to calls for an independent investigation into the origins and spread of the coronavirus pandemic - which first surfaced in central China last year. Apart from warning of discrimination recently, China's culture and tourism ministry advised against travelling to Australia last month

What a load off bullshit

Many years ago, a beggar had a dream to become a king, as he would be able to beg his bread with a gold bowl. Arbitrary detention is many Chinese people's daily life, so 'arbitrarily search' came out of CCP's frame of mind.

who cares

All true. Definitely don't come to Australia. Plenty of searches of person, but almost exclusively Chinese. Possibly only Chinese. More often than not Chinese will be subject to interrogation, followed by a mandatory 30 year prison term with the hardest of hard labour. Always

Maaahahahahahah

Funny thing is that they weren't doing anything until Scotty opened his mouth and licked the boots of Trump.

Lmao, this is so...

They need to tell their people our borders are closed but again this is more bully-boy tactics from an authoritative regime that likes getting its own way. The real news story is the US condemning what the CCP are doing in the South China Seas, saying their actions are illegal.

China Bad Australia Stupid, when we place restrictions or falsely accuse other countries, we are all righteous, if the other countries plays the same game we are insulated? Exceptionalism is so pathetic...

Excuse me but aren't the borders closed? Silly China.

Who cares... next

Politicians create tension. I love my chinese people.

Our borders are closed until at least next year so it's all a bit silly?

I think zlj517 SpokespersonCHN MFA_China should visit Australia for themselves...come on down ...put your minds at ease over your FakeNews ...I’m sure MarisePayne dfat Birmo would be happy to invite you. ..hell I’ll even have you over for dinner Auspol CCP china

More C C P dirty lies.

The behaviour of far too many current Leaders is nothing short of pathetic kindergarten bickering. Unfortunately, placing us in danger.

The white European community ruling caste of Australia, like PM ScoMo's and Premier Breijiklian, have done that to us, Australian Natives, in countless ways since first foreign contact by British white demon Cook!

Well being searched arbitrarily even though it’s bullshit is much better than being arrested arbitrarily and being held in detention with no contact to be used as a hostage and political porn! Fuck China!!!

At least in Australia Chinese people are safe. Go figure.

Whatever they accuse is what they are. Every time. The truth is the opposite to what they say.

Children please! Stop this silly bickering

The Chinese citizens people so much of what their government tell them says a lot about them. SBSNews auspol ChinaDaily MorningStar YumChaDaily

Being searched 'arbitrarily' by law enforcement? Really? Even if this were true, this particular travel warning hardly seems relevant at this time. 🙄

Perhaps China should just stay out of Australia, instead of trying to be the world power they aren't.
