The Northern Territory Chief Minister says his family had to leave their home after his personal address was disclosed in front of a large contingent of anti-vaccine protestors at the weekend. The Chief Minister says he instructed his family to leave their home "immediately" over the weekendThe protestors were objecting to an incoming vaccine mandate for almost all NT workers, to mandate vaccinations for high-risk, essential and public-facing employees.
Michael Gunner's home address was disclosed during the demonstration, which was captured on video posted to social media.Mr Gunner this morning told ABC Radio Darwin's Jo Laverty the comments made him "very worried" for the safety of his wife and infant son. "I made sure they left the house immediately because you just don't know what's going to happen," he said."It obviously wasn't a good moment over the weekend."Once it comes into effect on November 13, the mandate will block unvaccinated workers from attending their workplaces at risk of a $5,000 fine..
In a separate matter in September, Mr Gunner told NT Parliament security upgrades were being carried out at his home to protect his family from "fixated individuals". He said his family's personal security had been at risk from "what might otherwise be called stalking" and he had received "serious security advice" from police.Watch
Now if a antivaccer came on my property to harass or threaten my family... They would leave sideways . Totally discussing behaviour ...goes to show how fragile these mindless idiots are.
Darwin is small, and most people know where you live fanniebay
disgusting & scary that it shd matter!
Anti -fascist pro choice protesters. Get it right ABC.
I think his mandate probably goes too far but given the known terrorist white supremacists usually organise antivax riots, I would have moved them too.
Deportation - it's the only way to deal with these ferals who don't hold Australian values.
The smaller that group get the more aggressive they will become.
