Cash incentives of up to $50,000 will be offered to teachers who are willing to work in Melbourne's toughest schools. Teachers remaining in those hard-to-fill roles will also be eligible for payments of up to $9,000 a year for three years.
More than 40 executive principals will also be employed in the most difficult leadership roles in Metro schools. The incentive is part of a $240 million package to improve the quality of teaching in schools, making it the biggest ever investment in Victoria's education system.
