A bushfire has broken out on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Thursday night.

A bushfire has broken out on Queensland's Sunshine Coast on Thursday night. The fire burned through bushland near Resort Drive in Noosa Heads.

Police made plans to set up an evacuation point with fears flames could spread close to homes. Firefighters managed to contain the fire on Friday morning but warned the danger was not yet over as winds were expected to pickup through the morning.
